- Additional Information This bird house is a scale model of the Boivins' own home. The wide dormer windows along the whole length of the roof, the clapboard siding panelling, the immense covered porch along the front, with pillars decorated with ornamental mouldings, the covered external staircase which forms a vestibule on one side of the house, and the chimney at the end of the house, are all characteristic of a particular type of traditional Quebec architecture. The meticulous attention to detail in this little masterpiece bears witness to the Boivins' love for their family home and their passion for traditional Quebec architecture.
