- Additional Information This lute, with its frets of knotted-gut, is based on an instrument by Wendelin Tieffenbrucker active in Padua towards the middle of the sixteenth century, which is preserved in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. It is meticulously crafted and historically faithful to the original. A gothic rose ornaments the soundboard. (see also 74-694).
