Since Tudor times, there has always been a tradition of collecting within the Royal Family. My great-grandfather, George V, was a true collector carrying on the family tradition, maybe not in old masters and antiquities, but more specifically in postage stamps... As in the past, his collection has been assiduously added to, with the postage stamps of George VI, and throughout her reign by The Queen, to make it one of, if not the, finest in the world.
