A new trophy, incorporating The Rocket's 480th-goal puck and 325th-goal skates, is commissioned by the Canadiens to be presented annually to the Most Competitive Player in the Quebec Junior Hockey League. The first winner is Jacques Contant who commutes from his home in St.-Eugène, Ontario, to play in Quebec. Mysteriously, the club cancels the award soon afterwards.
