Primary Material: The Bennedsen Collection

The Christian Bennedsen Collection is deposited in the Canadian Museum of Civilization (CMCC) Archives. The archival material, contained in 19 boxes, consists of 943 pieces of correspondence, more than 3,000 photographs, 2 videos, 18 work diaries, immigration papers, newsletters, and other ephemera.

The collection also contains research material from Dr. Gabriele Scardellato. This material comprises a biography of Chris Bennedsen, an inventory and analysis of his letters, a report on the significance of the Bennedsen letter collection, and transcriptions of nearly 100 letters translated by Chris.
