From Ningpo, Zhejiang Province. Adept in the drawing of flowers, fish, insects and human figures. He loved to draw small subjects, with a lively and interesting style. He established the "Strong Grass Association" and held many personal exhibitions. Before his death, he was a Director of the Second, Third, and Fourth Session of the Federation of Chinese Artists and an Honorary Director of the Shanghai Art Gallery.
