From Ninghai, Zhejiang Province. Adept in Chinese painting, calligraphy, poetry and art education. His creative works showed a typically Chinese way of presentation through the use of lines. His brush strokes are penetrating and powerful and his inking shows strong contrasts of black and white. He liked to draw with his fingers. His works are refreshing and tough, filled with vitality and an obvious sense of the times. He was a Director of the Zhejiang Art institute, a Chairman of the Zhejiang Branch of the Federation of Chinese Artists and a Vice-Chairman of the Federation of Chinese Artists. His representative works include "Autumn Night", "Peace Pigeon" and "Rosy Clouds in the Morning".
