This flat-bottomed boat is considered the most colourful and
interesting watercraft in the Philippines. Eight metres in length, it has
an elevated poop ornamented with floral designs, leaves and branches. Its
two masts are rigged with mat-like sails.

houseboat. In the early 1900s, thousands of people reportedly lived in cascos
along the Pasig River in Manila.
