This is the first time that work by an Inuit artist has appeared on a bank note and only the second time that original visual art has been included in a composition.<\/p>\n<p>Kenojuak Ashevak voit le jour dans le camp d&#8217;Ikirisaa, dans le sud de l&#8217;\u00eele de Baffin, et grandit en voyageant d&#8217;un camp de chasse \u00e0 l&#8217;autre, entre son \u00eele natale et le Nord qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois (r\u00e9gion du Nunavik). En 2008, Kenojuak Ashevak est laur\u00e9ate du Prix du Gouverneur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral en arts visuels et en arts m\u00e9diatiques.
