Description
This pole represents Bear, Salmon, and Raven as a Woman with a labret. These reproduction pieces in high density resin are moulded from casts of original historical Haida carvings in argillite from the Canadian Museum of History’s collection. Argillite is a soft slate-like material found only on Haida Gwaii. Haida artists have carved this important material for trade and for sale since at least the early nineteenth century. 16 cm. |
