Description

Bear, Salmon, and Raven as a Woman with a labret. The Raven Steals Halibut myth is indicated by Raven’s broken beak: 14.5 cm high. The argillite reproduction pieces in high density resin are moulded from casts of original argillite Haida carvings from the Canadian Museum of History’s collections. Argillite is a soft slate found only on Haida Gwaii (the Queen Charlotte Islands); it was first quarried in the 1820’s on Slatechuck Mountain.
