Celebrating Operation Veteran for 10 Years

Thanks to the Canadian War Museum’s Operation Veteran program, all Canadian veterans who visit are offered an $11 voucher for a meal in the Museum’s café, to honour them and their service.

Co-founded with Dr. Paul Kavanagh, Operation Veteran has just celebrated its 10th anniversary. The program has provided more than 17,000 meals since its inception in 2009, and currently provides about 2,000 per year.

Operation Veteran owes its considerable success and longevity not just to Dr. Kavanagh and his vision, but also to the many individual donors and organizations — and especially schools — throughout the country that have either given or raised funds for this special initiative.
