Reproduction Fees

For permission to reproduce materials from the Canadian Museum of History, reproduction fees, apart from the usage fees, are applicable and will vary according to the format required. Fees are as follows:

  • Requests must be made in writing with the online request form, by mail, fax or email.
  • Administration fees of $10.00 per order are applicable.
  • Allow 4 to 6 weeks for request processing.
  • Research fees of $50.00 per hour may apply (first 30 minutes are free).
  • Add 100% to regular reproduction fees for urgent requests (rush service: 3 days).
  • Discounts may apply for orders of 10 items or more.
  • All fees are in Canadian dollars and are subject to change without notice.
  • Fees do not include applicable taxes, packaging and shipping costs.
  • All sales are final.
  • CMCC has the right to deny or withhold access to material from its collections.

Photo reproduction fees:

Digital image file (8X10 at 300 ppi) $15 each
Digital image file (8X10 at 600 ppi) $25 each
Delivery via FTP site No charge
Delivery via CD $10 per CD

Additional fees may apply if new photography is required.

Textual document fees:

Photocopy 30¢ per page
PDF format 30¢ per page
Digital image file (8X10 at 300 ppi) $15 each
Delivery via FTP site No charge
Delivery via CD $10 per CD

Additional fees may apply if other formats are required.

A/V Reproduction fees:

A/V and Audio Material FEES
CD or DVD $40
Editing fee (if applicable) $50 per hour

Additional fees may apply if other formats (ex: DV, Betacam, WAV, AVI, etc.) are required.
