Gatineau, Quebec, September 7, 2017 — Girls and boys, start your engines! The race is on to experience the thrilling challenges in the Hot Wheels™ – Race to Win™ at the Canadian Museum of History, the only venue for this exhibition in Canada. This fast-paced exhibition, starring Hot Wheels®, is a fun way for families to get up to speed on the science of cars, look behind the scenes at the racing world, and be inspired to compete, experiment and create with Hot Wheels cars.

Visitors become part of a dynamic team on race day, working together to design and test drive the fastest (and safest) speed machines on the planet. Family and friends race the clock to change tires and refuel a car in the Pit Stop Challenge, and take Hot Wheels cars for a spin down different types of tracks in each of four colour-coded zones.

Hot Wheels™ – Race to Win™ is aimed at children 6 to 12 years old and their families, but it’s fun for people of all ages who want to learn what skills each crew member brings to the race team, how they optimize their cars’ performance, how engines turn fuel into movement, and how technology keeps drivers, crews and fans safe.

Hot Wheels™ – Race to Win™, produced by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and Mattel, is presented from September 9, 2017 to January 7, 2018 by the Canadian Children’s Museum in the Canadian Museum of History’s Special Exhibitions corridor. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is a non-profit institution committed to creating extraordinary family learning experiences across the arts, sciences, and humanities that have the power to transform the lives of children and families.

The Canadian Children’s Museum, one of the Canadian Museum of History’s most popular attractions, provides a creative space for children and families to learn about the world and broaden their cultural experience. Passports in hand, visitors discover one incredible destination after another. Whether on a visit to homes in the International Village, a trek to a desert pyramid, a jaunt to the Port of Entry to help unload a cargo ship, or a stroll through the bustling Market Bazaar, visitors encounter endless ways to learn about the world and one another.
