Wild ridin’ fun at the Canadian Museum of Civilization

Gatineau, Quebec, September 10, 2010 — Cowboys and cowgirls, put on your boots, chaps and cowboy hats because you are expected at the Canadian Museum of Civilization on Saturday for some wild ridin’ fun, y’all!! This country-style evening out on the range features performances from the Wild West, tasty ‘n’ spicy snacks, bull ridin’, hoedown dancin’, western flicks and some Texas hold‘em.

The local cover band, Ridin’ Shotgun, will delight everyone into dancing to the beat of the cowboys, whereas Jed, the riding mechanical bull, will be there to throw off even the most adept riders. For the brave but not foolhardy, a line dance instructor will show some steps and create a live choreography; or test your ringer throwing capabilities with some Horseshoe toss games. Our “Saloon” area will feature Texas hold’em (play money), a cash bar, a tasty and spicy snack service and silent western films.

Furthermore, the evening’s participants can visit the exhibition The Horse with our volunteer interpreters or enjoy a special visit with the interpretative planner.
