The Dark Knight Rises: Experience it in IMAX®!

June 13, 2012, Gatineau, Quebec — Superhero fans, do not miss the premiere of the final chapter of the adventures of Batman on the region’s largest screen! The Dark Knight Rises: The IMAX Experience will be presented at midnight on July 19 at the Canadian Museum of Civilization’s IMAX Theatre.

As was the case with The Dark Knight, the second installment in the series directed by Christopher Nolan, this third movie features footage filmed with IMAX cameras. In The Dark Knight Rises, a total of 60 minutes are projected in full-screen IMAX format.

Eight years after Batman took the blame for Harvey Dent, a new dangerous terrorist called Bane appears. The Dark Knight is forced to resume his role as protector of the city, now threatened by a powerful enemy. Christian Bale returns to the role of the caped crusader. The Dark Knight Rises also stars Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard.

Tickets to the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises: The IMAX Experience, on Thursday, July 19 at midnight, are now on sale. Fans are invited to wear their best Batman costume to attend the first presentation of the final film in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

The first showing in French will take place on Friday, July 20 at 8 p.m.
