Gatineau, Quebec, May 18, 2007 — What would you like to do this summer? Run away and join the circus? Embark on a top-secret mission? You can do both at the Canadian Children’s Museum, where there are still a few spaces left in the summer day camp program! We’ve dreamed up two unforgettable, week-long adventures for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 11:

The Circus is in Town!, offered the weeks of July 9–13, 16–20, and 23–27, is just the thing for kids who want to clown around! Join the cast of performers, try your hand at new skills and discover why kids around the world love the circus! Campers will learn clowning skills, acrobatics, balancing and creative arts, then take their place in the centre ring for a Big Top performance.

Mission: Toy!, meanwhile, is recruiting special agents for an important mission in our high-tech laboratory the weeks of July 30–Aug. 3, Aug. 13–17 and Aug. 20–24. We need young toy experts to help us discover children’s favourite toys and games from around the world. In return, you’ll get to hone your creativity and ingenuity by designing toys and exploring a variety of techniques and tactics, including robotics, cryptic codes, mechanics, construction and visual arts.

All day camps run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with pre- and post-camp care available as well.
