Reel Injun: On the Trail of the Hollywood Indian

Theatre
Cree filmmaker Neil Diamond traces the cinematic depiction of First Peoples from the silent film era to the present day, only to find the future of Aboriginal cinema in the unlikeliest of places: Canada’s North. Reel Injun presents an affectionate look at cinema, as seen through the eyes of people who appeared in its very first flickering images and have survived to tell their stories in their own way. The film will be followed by a discussion. Presented in partnership with the National Film Board of Canada. Free tickets at Museum Box Office.
West Coast Fusion

There’s a host of late-night activities in store for you: sip wine, listen to a fusion band from Vancouver called Delhi 2 Dublin, sample canapés, tour the new Haida art exhibition with Moira McCaffrey, Vice-President Research and Collections, take a unique text message tour of the Museum and take part in a creative workshop.
