The Nightingale
Saturday, February 2, 2008
1 p.m. (English)
Theatre

Presented by Rag and Bone Theatre. Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale, The Nightingale tells the story of a small bird who teaches a great emperor the value of true friendship and the simple things in life. In ancient China, the Emperor has everything, but he must choose between a mechanical clockwork nightingale studded with jewels, and a real nightingale whose song brings tears to his eyes. With exotic music, colourful puppets, storytelling and acting, The Nightingale is a highly imaginative, 60-minute production that will charm audiences ages 5 and up. Tickets $10, available through the Festival office at 613-241-0999, or at the door. In partnership with the Ottawa International Children’s Festival.
