Concert: An Evening Inspired by Genius

Discover the genius of Glenn Gould by visiting the exhibition and listen to the Ottawa Bach Choir perform a concert of seasonal favourites. This concert is presented in conjunction with the Glenn Gould: The Sounds of Genius multimedia exhibition, where Gould is the main feature. He speaks through his taped interviews, writings, media productions and, of course, his music. Come admire a remarkable, rich and varied collection of the artist’s artifacts.
In partnership with Library and Archives Canada, in honour of Glenn Gould’s 75th birthday and the 25th anniversary of his death.

A Victorian Christmas

Can you really do all your Christmas shopping for under $5? Come see and handle a variety of Christmas artifacts from the late 1800s and try guessing their original retail price, then make your own Victorian ornament.

Santa’s elves need your help to bake cookies in preparation for Santa’s long journey on December 24. Meet Santa Claus and listen to the story of Hansel and Gretel at the Theatre. This activity is presented as part of Just for You and Your Preschooler.

Giant Gingerbread House
Saturdays, December 8-15 and Sundays, December 9-16, 2007
Workshops at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Help us create a giant gingerbread house, complete with some well-known storybook characters. This activity is presented in conjunction with Kids in the Kitchen, inviting kids to enjoy cooking experiences that are as fun to make as they are to eat!
