PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

For immediate release

Gatineau, Québec, November 3, 2014 — Do you dream of visiting the mysterious Galapagos Islands and getting a close look at the animals that live there? No need to pack your bag – the Canadian Museum of History’s IMAX Theatre will take you there on November 8 and 9.

See the film Galapagos 3D and then, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., learn more about some animals very much like those in the film, thanks to the experts from Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo. As you leave the IMAX Theatre, get your picture taken with a 100-pound tortoise and hold an iguana in your bare hands!

You can also do some colouring – paper and crayons will be available – and take part in a science workshop organized by the Club des Débrouillards.

As well, at each screening of Galapagos 3D on November 8 and 9, you will have a chance to win a gift basket worth approximately $110. The basket includes tickets for the film Wonders of the Arctic, coming to the IMAX Theatre in December, and a family admission to Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo, where you can see close to 25 different species of reptiles from around the world.
