at the Canadian Children’s Museum summer day camps


Gatineau, Quebec, May 28, 2008 — Summer can be a season filled with discovery and enriching experiences for children. This year, the Canadian Children’s Museum at the Canadian Museum of Civilization has chosen two themes for its summer day camps. Don’t delay: there are only a few spots left!

The Great Greek Adventure Camp! SOLD OUT!
Ages 7 to 10
Weeks of July 7 to 11, July 14 to 18 or July 21 to 25
Travel to the southernmost tip of Europe and explore ancient Greece. Through dramatic arts, crafts, fashion, food and sports, children can discover some of the greatest legacies from Greek culture and history. Recreate Greek myths, cook a Greek meal, explore Greek art and perform in our mini-summer Olympics. Opa!

Camp Build It! Summer Day Camp
Weeks of July 28 to August 1, August 11 to 15 or August 18 to 22
Ages 5 to 7

Enter the world of the popular television series with the exhibition Bob the Builder – Project: Build It for a fun week of building projects, colourful machines, inspiring teamwork, and “green” themes and activities. In Sunflower Valley, children will learn to build, fix, grow and discover community life through interactive games, building workshops, storytelling and outdoor adventures.

Information and registration
Camp hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost: $160 per week ($150 for members).
Pre- and post-care is also available at a fee. Please call for more information.
