PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

For immediate release

Gatineau, Quebec, January 23, 2013 — The Canadian Museum of Civilization is pleased to invite visitors to Uncorked! — a truly unique wine tasting experience — thanks to a partnership with L’Amicale des Sommeliers du Québec (Outaouais sector) and Les Brasseurs du Temps.

At each event, sip and savour your way through one of the Museum’s charming settings. Guests will discover little-known facts about the history and evolution of winemaking while sampling carefully selected wines and food pairings inspired by the Museum’s surroundings. Each tasting event also includes a craft beer from a local microbrewer.

Guests will also have the opportunity to interact with savvy sommeliers and microbrewers, Museum curators and Executive Chef Martin De Board, as well as to participate in discussions and workshops.
