Gatineau, Quebec, April 18, 2007 — On April 28, don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate Asian Heritage Month at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. Enjoy dancing and music from countries such as Japan, China, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam the Philippines and Turkey. Once you have enjoyed the sounds and rhythms take in the flavours by sampling traditional foods from Asian countries.

May is Asian Heritage Month in Canada. This special month celebrated yearly acknowledges the long and rich history of Asian-Canadians and their contributions to Canada. Canada’s cultural diversity strengthens the country socially, politically and economically in innumerable ways. Asian Heritage Month is an ideal occasion for all to celebrate the beauty and wisdom of various Asian cultures.

Celebrate Asian Heritage Month at the Canadian Museum of Civilization

Gatineau, Quebec, April 21, 2006 — May is Asian Heritage Month, and the Canadian Museum of Civilization invites you to attend four special events to celebrate it with us. Come enjoy a colourful gala with music and dancing from various Asian countries such as China, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia and Thailand, while sampling traditional Asian foods. Also, be sure to attend the Indian dance performances by the Apsaras Dance Group. There will also be traditional Indonesian and Korean music performances later in May. These events are sure to please everyone.
