CANCELLATION OF ACTIVITIES AND PUBLIC PROGRAMS AT THE
CANADIAN MUSEUM OF CIVILIZATION AND THE CANADIAN WAR MUSEUM.






Gatineau, Quebec, September 30, 2009 Please see the list below of all activities and public programs at the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Canadian War Museum which had to be cancelled due to the strike and which were taking place between October 10 and 25.


At the Canadian Museum of Civilization:



  • Saturday, October 10, 1:00 p.m. at the Canadian Children’s Museum, Canadian athletes Anabelle Langlois and Cody Hay, Canadian Pairs Figure Skaters;
  • Saturday, Sunday and Monday, October 10, 11 and 12, 10:30 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Canadian Children’s Museum, performances by the Ottawa Acro-Ropers and Ottawa’s Dendo do Recife Capoeira troupe;
  • Saturday, Sunday and Monday, October 10, 11 and 12, 10:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Riverview Gallery, Aboriginal Technology presented in conjunction with the exhibition Profit & Ambition;
  • Saturday, Sunday and Monday, October 10, 11 and 12, 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. in Special Exhibitions Galleries E and F, Music of the Voyageurs presented in conjunction with the exhibition Profit & Ambition;


At the Canadian War Museum:



  • Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4 and Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Cover Your Tracks.
