Canadian Crafters at the Canadian Museum of Civilization

Gatineau, Quebec, March 8, 2006 – On March 11 and 26, the Canadian Museum of Civilization invites you to enjoy demonstrations and workshops with local artisans who practise crafts from the past. Carpet weaving, wool spinning, lacemaking, pottery and ceramics are all traditional crafts that enabled our ancestors to survive and flourish. Discover techniques that have endured over the centuries, and meet craftspeople who still practise them in the traditional manner to create inspired, authentic pieces.
