Gatineau, Quebec, October 1, 2014 – This fall, Bob the Builder and his Can-Do Crew — including Wendy, Scoop, Muck, Dizzy, Roley, Lofty and Scrambler — return to the Canadian Children’s Museum to have fun with apprentice builders. So put on your hard hat and get ready for Bob the Builder – Project: Build It presented from October 2, 2014 to March 22, 2015 in the Kaleidoscope Gallery.

Based on the well-known books and top-rated television series, Bob the Builder – Project: Build It brings to life a world that encourages exploration, inspires teamwork and celebrates environmentally friendly building themes. Bob the Builder and his friends promote a positive attitude, planning and working together to solve problems.

Aimed at children ages 3 to 7 and their families, the exhibition consists of five immersive environments. After meeting Bob and other kid-sized characters in the entrance area, visitors will explore Bob the Builder’s Mobile Home, the Vehicle Shelter, Bob’s Building Workshop, Wendy’s Caravan and Farmer Pickle’s Water Pump.

Each area will feature interactive displays, games and hands-on activities to give visitors an opportunity to fix, build, count, explore, role-play and collaborate. Families will work together to fix a sink, help Bob build the Vehicle Shelter, “ride” some of the machines, and experiment with tools.

Bob the Builder – Project: Build It gives kids a wonderful, hands-on opportunity to practise what the stories advocate, following the show’s motto: “Can we fix it? Yes we can!”

Back at the Children’s Museum six years after their first appearance, Bob the Builder and his team will invite a whole new generation of apprentice builders to discover Sunflower Valley. A special series of activities will also be presented to complement the exhibition. Children will have the chance to spend time with Bob the Builder on several occasions, particularly during the opening weekend, on October 4 and 5.

This travelling exhibition was created by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, in collaboration with HIT Entertainment.

The Canadian Children’s Museum, one of the Canadian Museum of History’s most popular attractions, provides a creative space for children and families to learn about the world and broaden their cultural experience. Passports in hand, visitors discover one incredible destination after another. Whether on a visit to homes in the International Village, a trek to a desert pyramid, a jaunt to the Port of Entry to help unload a cargo ship, or a stroll through the bustling Market Bazaar, visitors encounter endless ways to learn about the world and one another.
