Bob the BuilderTM and his Can-Do Crew Bob the BuilderTM Project: Build It Travelling Museum Exhibit
Invite Aspiring Builders to the Canadian Childrens Museum
on-site from June 21 to September 7
Gatineau, Quebec, June 21, 2008 There will be lots of work to do at the Canadian Childrens Museum this summer, and fun is at the top of the list! So put on your hard hat and get ready for Bob the Builder Project: Build It Travelling Museum Exhibit, that will be presented from June 21 to September 7 in the Kaleidoscope Gallery.
Bob the Builder and his Can-Do Crew including Wendy, Scoop, Muck, Dizzy, Roley, Lofty and Scrambler will show that The Fun Is in Getting It Done as they star in an interactive exhibition based on the well-known books and top-rated television series. Bob the Builder Project: Build It brings to life a world that invites exploration, inspires teamwork and celebrates environmentally friendly building themes.
Bob the Builder and his friends promote a positive attitude, working together to solve problems, says Dr. Victor Rabinovitch, President and CEO of the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation. The exhibition gives kids a wonderful, hands-on opportunity to practice what the stories advocate. Its an example of the shows motto: Can we fix it? Yes we can!
Bob the Builder Project: Build It, aimed at children ages 2 to 7 years old and their families, is made up of five immersive environments. After meeting Bob and other kid-sized characters in the entrance area, visitors will explore Bob the Builders Mobile Home, the Vehicle Shelter, Bobs Building Workshop, Wendys Caravan and Farmer Pickles Water Pump.
Each area will feature interactive displays, games and hands-on activities that provide visitors with an opportunity to fix, build, count, explore, role-play and collaborate. Families will work together to fix a sink, help Bob build the Vehicle Shelter, ride some of the machines, and experiment with tools.
The Canadian Childrens Museum is planning a special series of activities to complement the exhibition, including meeting Bob the Builder at a construction breakfast, exploring life-size machinery in Adventure World, planting sunflowers, and crafting nuts-and-bolts construction wear. Children will also have a chance to spend time with Bob the Builder during his special appearances.
This travelling exhibition was created by The Childrens Museum of Indianapolis, in collaboration with HIT Entertainment, and is presented by Delta Faucet.
