Gatineau, Quebec, November 14, 2006 – On Thursday, November 23, 2006, join the Grand Rapids Ballet Company in the Theatre of the Canadian Museum of Civilization for an exclusive performance created specifically for the renowned exhibition, Petra: Lost City of Stone. The special presentation brings the ancient Middle Eastern city back to life through enchanting choreography, vibrant music, colourful costumes, and projected images of Petra.

Along with Petra, audiences will also be treated to the thrilling ballet, Scheherazade. Gordon Peirce Schmidt’s Scheherazade is an abstract work inspired by the glorious Rimsky-Korsakov score.
