Every religion has its own view on the existence of a world beyond—an invisible realm that is at once strange and familiar. But no two see it exactly the same way.

For some, the beyond is a host of successive rebirths. For others, it’s Heaven or Hell. In China and Africa, a dead person’s soul continues to “live” with its loved ones. What do atheists think about the beyond?

People of a variety of religions tell us their views on the beyond.

Even though I'm not sure God exists, I celebrate Easter and Christmas. These two holidays are an affirmation of how God really does love all of us. I have prayed many years but still have had no inspiration. I guess some people just have to wait. I hope I'll get a sign soon.
