Winter Tales of Adaptation, Celebration, and Courage

Join us to explore stories of adaptation, celebration, and courage in the Canadian History Hall. Designed specifically for families, our live animations use photographs, objects, and activities to tell compelling stories. During the holiday season, we will tell you about adaptation in New France as we explore the identity of the Canadiens, from toques to folksongs. We also welcome you to St. Onuphrius Church, where you will hear about the lives of Ukrainian immigrants as they adapted to life in Canada. Finally, hear about the courage of a family of Syrian refugees, and the kindness of Canadian families who welcomed them during our coldest season. These heartwarming stories of courage and diversity are as Canadian as winter.
