The Canadian Museum of History, in partnership with the Confederation Centre of the Arts, is proud to present The Founding Father: His Story. Our Canada., a play about the life and legacy of Sir John A. Macdonald. The performance explores the personal and political journey of this key historical figure, a journey that led to the creation of our country.

 

This original, bilingual play recounts the life and times of Sir John A. Macdonald and explores how his vision shaped our country.

Witness the extraordinary triumphs and personal tragedies experienced by our first Prime Minister and learn about the incredible challenges our young nation had to overcome during its formative years.

The play features a cast of four leading Canadian actors. An original score by Samual Sholdice accompanies dynamic video images of James Nesbitt, historical photos, and live-action sand drawings by Québec artist Marie Linda Bluteau.
