Profit & Ambition: The Canadian Fur Trade, 1779-1821

This exhibition focuses on the many roles played by different ethnic and social groups in the North West Company. Upon entering the exhibition space, visitors will be invited to embark on a journey of discovery and to meet the men and women of the early Canadian fur trade. Visitors will be engaged by the excitement and romance of the fur trade, through the vibrant lives of its different characters.

Content : 90 artifacts and replicas, including trade items, personal items, period clothing and documents; interactive module; DVD presentations; interpretation programming; props such as bales which contribute to creating a period atmosphere.

Space Required : 140 m² (1500 ft²)
