1995-1996: Arts and Traditions Hall
This exhibition of folk art from Quebec highlights three types of collections: Marius Barbeau's collection of “classical” works, Nettie Sharp's collection of “naïve” works, and a collection compiled in the seventies by ethnologists who were interested in works done by “patenteux.” The works featured permit a greater understanding not only of the artists, but also of the collectors and the period in which they lived.
