This year isn’t just Canada’s 150th anniversary — it’s also the Stanley Cup’s 125th birthday and the National Hockey League’s 100th. Join us to celebrate these milestones — and visit our exciting Hockey exhibition — during a day of fan- and family-friendly festivities to coincide with the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Spin our trivia wheel to test your knowledge and learn new facts about the championship trophy and its colourful history: Did you know that it’s been left in a snowbank, used as a flowerpot and even drop-kicked into the Rideau Canal?

Stop by our craft stations to decorate a trophy-shaped cookie and to make your own mini-Cup out of wooden craft pieces. Pose for a photo with a historical picture of the Stanley Cup, named for Sir Frederick Arthur Stanley, the Governor General who commissioned its creation in 1892. Don’t forget to wear your favourite hockey jersey!
