Facing the Gods: Rituals Masks of the Himalayas

This exhibition presents the role of ritual masks in Himalayan cultures. Consisting of approximately eighty masks, the exhibition explores how masks are used not only to hide the wearer but to charge him or her with the powers and personality of the personage represented.
