Explore the history behind the coins. Celebrating Canada’s Arctic connects images and artifacts from the Museum’s collections to three coins issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in commemoration of the Canadian Arctic Expedition, 1913–1918. Photos and artifacts are displayed alongside the new coins, allowing you to compare the final images with their design inspiration.

Display developed by the Canadian Museum of History in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mint.
