Be among the first to visit the new Canadian History Hall, as interpreters help you discover fascinating stories from our country’s rich past.

Discover our country’s important stories as we unveil the Canadian History Hall, while also marking Canada History Week and the 150th anniversary of Confederation. Bring your family and be among the first visitors to our new signature gallery, where interpreters will highlight 11 stories spanning thousands of years of history. These interactive experiences include tales from time immemorial to the present day — and many other stops along the way. Meet a kayaker from Arctic Bay, the woman who sewed the first Maple Leaf flag, and Father of Confederation Thomas D’Arcy McGee. Explore and learn about topics such as Métis beadwork, women’s work during the Second World War, LGBTQ rights, and the immigrant and refugee experience.
