Watch, learn from and be inspired by talented local Aboriginal artists during this all-ages day of art workshops and performances in honour of National Aboriginal History Month.

Celebrate National Aboriginal History Month with an Awesome Sunday that highlights the extraordinary creative achievements of Aboriginal artists through performances and visual art workshops for all ages. See examples of intricate Métis beading and let Métis artists show you how to make your own little beaded button to take home. Join Simon Brascoupé, the internationally acclaimed artist from the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation, to create your own colourful pochoir print. Brascoupé is a master of the traditional Aboriginal stencilling technique, which he uses to depict humans’ sacred relationship with animals and birds. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., watch performances by drummers, dancers and Inuit throat singers on the Grand Hall stage.

This day provides a wonderful opportunity for families to engage with and learn from talented local artists and performers.
