ACS Canada150 Series – A-HISTORICAL Look at John A. Macdonald?

You are invited to join the Association for Canadian Studies (ACS) on July 6, 2015 from 12:15 to 2:00 p.m. at the Canadian Museum of History to attend a special panel discussion and launch on the new ACS publication A-HISTORICAL Look at John A. Macdonald? Seeing Canada’s First Prime Minister in the Context of His and Our Times.

At this event, ACS President Jack Jedwab will release results from the national survey “Canadian Assessments of Historic Events and Leaders: Do Contemporary Standards Trump Historic Context?”

 

The panel will be moderated by Randy Boswell, Carleton University journalism lecturer, former Postmedia News national history writer and guest editor of the John A. Macdonald special edition of ACS’s Canadian Themes. Panel members will include Bob Rae, senior partner at OKT – Olthuis Kleer Townshend LLP, former Premier of Ontario and former leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, and Professor Patrice Dutil of Ryerson University, both of whom have contributed articles to the new ACS publication.
