Aboriginal Storytelling with Jo Maple

Buy Tickets

Lean in and listen to storyteller Jo Maple share some legends from his Métis and Algonquin ancestors.

Since time immemorial, members of Canada’s First Peoples have passed knowledge and wisdom from one generation to the next through storytelling. This time-honoured oral tradition is a wonderful way to teach important cultural beliefs, rituals, history and life lessons.

Have a seat, relax and lend an ear as the storyteller Jo Maple will tell you stories from his Métis and Algonquin ancestors. These interactive stories will engage audiences, especially families and children ages 3 to 15. This event is part of Canadian Museum of History programming for National Aboriginal Month, which celebrates the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding achievements of Canada’s First Peoples.
