Recognizable by its square shape and turned legs - simple decorative motifs: lozenges, diamond point

Furniture that is imposing, symmetrical and rectangular - motifs: square panels, rosettes, sometimes decorated with curves

Principal characteristic: S-shaped curves - motifs: asymmetrical and irregular ornamentation such as volutes, arabesques and curves

Furniture of an elongated rectangle shape with short legs - motifs: claw-and-ball shape feet
