Dress Waist Jacket. Nursing Sister Alma
Florence Finnie, First World War. Canadian Nurses Association Collection
Unique to the collection, this is an example of the dress
uniform waist jacket worn by Canadian nursing sisters during the
First World War. This uniform, which marked a departure from the
khaki colour used earlier, was designed by Georgina Fane Pope
and adopted into service in 1907.
