The One Big Union was organized in an effort to unite all workers in a single union that would promote its interests by means of strikes. While it tried to convince Canadians that it did not support revolutionary means to achieve its goals, government and business leaders painted the One Big Union as a Bolshevik menace, and claimed that it threatened the safety of the country.

Resolution Creating the One Big Union
