1953    Chris moves to Cobourg on May 10, begins working as a truck driver for Jenkins Cartage Co., and moves into a boarding house at 434 Victoria Street.

1954    On September 5, Chris moves to Toronto into a boarding house at 210 Cottingham Street.

   Chris begins working for Atlas Sheet Metal on September 6.

Early 1955
   Chris leaves Atlas Sheet Metal to work for McEwen Sheet Metal.

1955
   In March, Chris and his friend Erik Skov move into a boarding house at 65 London Street.

1955
   Sigvard Bennedsen graduates from college and begins university.

1956
   Sigvard marries Birgit.

1956
    In November, Chris moves to 2394A Bloor Street West in Toronto and shares accommodation with his friend Eric Skov.

Late 1956
    Connie meets Chris Bennedsen at her father’s shop where Chris often dropped off his laundry.

1958
   Ella Bennedsen graduates from elementary school.

1959
    Chris becomes a Canadian citizen.

1959
   On September 7, Chris and Connie Bennedsen marry at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

1959
   Chris Bennedsen goes back to work with Atlas on November 2.
