Truck Driving in Cobourg
Dear Kedde, I hope you had a good Christmas and wish you all the best in the New Year. The Christmas and turn of the year was very quiet here. We had the traditional guests on the 25th from Arnum, Hornum and the butcher's. New Year's Eve we were all together again in Arnum. Sigvard was away almost all Christmas, I was in Ribe for a few days and Grandmother was there with me one day, and I have many greetings from Else Marie. Thanks for the money. They arrived just in time for Christmas and were very welcome. It is not so easy for your mother, she has received 50 kroner and I owe her another 19 kroner. She will get it when she needs money again. Saturday, Otto Groth turns 60. Marie Bach and your mother are going to cook the soup and I am going to serve it. The party will last for 2 days . . . . Grandmother and all the others send their regards.
Thomas Johannesson to Chris Bennedsen, January 6, 1954.
