The Ballroom Costumes


At the Montreal Historical Ball, Mary Van Horne, sister of railway magnate Sir William Van Horne, portrayed the seventeenth-century character Madame Jolliet, in the Explorers, Discoverers, and Visitors set, in reference to her home town of Joliet, Illinois.
