From Yangjiang, Guangdong Province. He was a Vice-Chairman of the Federation of Chinese Artists, Chairman of the Guangdong Branch of the Federation of Chinese Artists and a professor of the Guangdong Art College. His works paid much homage to the traditional techniques of Chinese painting. His style shows weight within serenity and strength within beauty. He was adept in the drawing of landscapes and plum blossoms. He was both classic and modern in his approaches. He painted a large Chinese painting for the People’s Hall of Beijing and has been invited to lecture in Paris, Harvard University and New York. He also held personal exhibitions in Japan, Australia and Singapore. Currently he is the Director of the Guangdong Art College and a committee member of the Chinese Literary Union.
