From Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. He established the Wuxi Art College. Adept in landscape painting, with a free and wild style. His colouring often showed many different shadings. He liked to use repetitive colours, especially light green. He has held personal exhibitions in Shanghai, Beijing and Denmark. He won a First Class Award in the World Art Expo. Before his death, he was a Director of the Federation of Chinese Artists and the Deputy Director of the Shanghai Chinese Painting Institute.
