From Mian County, Shanxi Province. He was an important member of the
Chang’an School of Painting. His works reflected mainly the life of rural
villages, pastoral life and construction scenarios in the Shanxi area. He
insisted on experiencing life and learning from traditions, thereby creating
a distinctly pastoral style. He was also fond of calligraphy and poetry. His
works were selected for inclusion in the Chinese painting exhibition in the
Vienna Expo.
